Is your community group or project looking for a venue — to meet regularly, or for a one‑off event? We have spaces across three floors, and room for more groups to join our wider family.
Ground floor. A platform lift runs from the entrance hall, so it is step‑free for disabled users.
Middle floor. Our main worship area and the most popular space to hire, with a stage at one end and a fixed projector screen beside it.
Middle floor, through concertina screens from the Sanctuary. Pull the screens back and the two become one room.
Middle floor, within the Chapel area. Available to hire by church groups wishing to baptise by full immersion.
Middle floor. Comfortable sofas and chairs — it lends itself to informal, smaller meetings.
Top floor, alongside Café Emm. A large room with a high ceiling and a badminton court marked out — good for sport, and for much else.
Our building is part of Weston Favell Shopping Centre, with the main entrance at ground floor level, right by the bus stops. If you are driving, parking at the shopping centre is free — restricted to three hours, though an extension can be arranged if you need one.
There are spaces across three floors and a lift serving every level. Toilets are on the ground and top floors. Café Emm on the top floor has its own entrance onto the first floor of the shopping centre and is open Monday to Friday, 10.00am to 2.00pm — if you are meeting in those hours, refreshments can be bought individually or laid on for the whole group at very reasonable cost.
There are terms and conditions for hiring rooms at Emmanuel Church, and a few things we are not able to hire out for: parties of any description; weddings and funerals not officiated by our own clergy or someone agreed by them; and use by faith groups unable to agree to, or act in accordance with, the Apostles’ Creed.
If you are not sure whether your activity falls within that, you are very welcome to ask — we would far rather talk it through than turn you away by accident.
